The development of the southern fisheries port / Luneort into an offshore wind power centre necessitates developmental measures and the provision of specific infrastructure at Labrador Port. The 2007 – 2013 ERDF programme is assisting the construction of two pier plates suitable for heavy loads. These will enable unimpeded access to Labrador Port, so that all the market players can handle the offshore components developed and produced in the southern fisheries port. This measure is a precondition for the establishment of Luneort as a manufacturing base for the offshore wind power sector.
